#1587 1970s Warren Platner for Knoll 42" Round Coffee Table

By welding hundreds of curved steel rods to circular frames, Warren Platner achieved his goal to create a form that simultaneously serves as structure and ornament. His iconic coffee table has been a celebrated focal point in living rooms since 1966. This fantastic 1970s example features a nickel plated steel frame and a 42" beveled glass top. Base in good condition with vintage patina, and some signs of age consistent with normal use (see photos for details). No rust. 14.75" tall with 42" glass top (included). Glass in fair condition, no scratches but has chips at edge.
